Scientific Advisory

The Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) provides independent scientific review of Prima BioMed´s product development programs and new product opportunities. The Scientific Advisory Board members are eminent scientists and technologists with relevant commercial and business exposure in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors.

Scientific Advisory Board consists of

Dr. Heidi Gray, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Centre
Dr. Hiroshi Takahashi, Stanford University Medical Diagnostics
Prof. Bruce Loveland, Austin Cancer Research 
Dr. Joyce Frey-Vasconcell, Former US FDA Director
Dr. Maureen Loudovaris, Peter MacCullum Cancer Centre

The broader role and function of the SAB is to:

  assess the scientific credibility of research proposals;
  regularly review progress of funded programs;
  provide critical scientific review of proposed development strategies;
  provide advice on the appropriateness of research costs; and
  advise on the probability of the development team achieving their proposed outcomes.

Prima establishes Technical Review Committees for each investment program which provide reports that the Board of Directors can utilise to monitor progress of investments. A member of the SAB sits on each committee.
